This program is designed to teach experienced scaffold builders the scaffold fundamentals and proper frame scaffold inspection procedures. To complete this class, you will need to read the fundamentals and the competent person manuals. You should complete the activities found in both books and make sure you bring your books to class with you.
During the class review you will be able to ask any questions you may have regarding the course material. Students that do not achieve a passing score will be allowed to retest within one year at no additional cost. For the final exam, you will be given a multiple-choice written exam that is based on scaffold scenarios where the competent person must decide the proper course of action.
A grade of 70% or better is required for passing. The entire class should last approximately 8 hours with a break for lunch. The hands on portion of the class will require you to erect & dismantle frame scaffold components in various designs. Please come to class with proper attire, hard hats, gloves and work boots.
